A lone goal from Diogo Jota in the last minute of the first half secures 3 points for the Reds against his former club on Monday night.

Unfortunately, Wolves' goalkeeper, Rui Patricio was badly injured as he collides with his teammate Conor Coady.

The situation was similar to that of their teammate Raul Gimenez earlier in the season who suffered a fractured head when he had a head collision with Chelsea defender David Luiz.

The Portuguese keeper in trying to defend a goal by Mohammed Salah which was later ruled offside received a knee to his head from his teammate. Patricio was treated for about 15 minutes before being replaced by the second choice John Ruddy.

After the match, Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito relieved football fans of the situation said "we've spoken already and he's ok. He will recover soon".

As a result of the win, Jurgen Klopp's men are hopeful of a top-four finish as they now move upward in the 6th position,5 points behind Chelsea.
