Zinedine Zidane has been suitably impressed by Marvin Park and handed him his first ever Real Madrid start in Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Getafe.
Financially, Real Madrid weren't in a position to do any business in January, but Park has given them an extra bit of something in a wide position, which is especially welcome given Eden Hazard's latest injury blow.
Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park was born in Palma de Mallorca to a Nigerian father and South Korean mother.
He played for five different youth sides in the Balearic Islands and also spent three years of his youth career at English club Tranmere Rover due to his parents move to the UK before he joined Madrid in 2016, and is now front and centre of Real Madrid news.
On Tuesday, he played for 55 minutes against Getafe and stood out on the pitch, performing his defensive duties diligently and showing his quality when he joined attacking moves.
In the first half, Marc Cucurella tried his best to intimidate the youngster, but it didn't work, Park simply kept running at him and made life difficult for the former La Masia graduate.
The scope of the match didn't faze him. He was confident and showed a lot of personality on the ball, something which you could argue this Los Blancos team needs more of.
Zidane was impressed with his performance and will likely take him into consideration for upcoming senior matches.
