Liverpool recorded a 2-0 win in the first leg of the round of 16 bringing an end to their losing streak by hammering tough German side.
It looked to be a tough encounter for the Reds against an in form Leipzig who had already beaten PSG and Man United in the group stage but met with fearless Liverpool side.
The first half ended in goalless.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane hit their opponent in the 53 and 58th minute respectively after some poor defending from their opponent.
Klopp admitted that their recent form had made them look vulnerable challenging the German side but was happy to see the players prove the doubters wrong.
With two away goals in hand, the Reds will face RB Leipzig for return leg at Anfield on March 10.
