Bruno Fernandes may reject the Eric Cantona comparisons but his splendid strike during Manchester United's 3-3 draw to Everton will do nothing to silence them.
The Portuguese star did brilliantly to chip Toffees keeper Robin Olsen to give Man United a 2-0 lead on the stroke of half time, with Edinson Cavani opening the scoring.
Everton fought back well after the break and were level on 52 minutes thanks to quick-fire strikes from Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez.
But the hosts came again with Scott McTominay restoring Man United's lead but they missed the chance to move level on points with Man City with Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring in the final minute of stoppage-time.
The result is a blow in Man United's bid for a first title since Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the club. But Fernandes' goal will have certainly sparked memories of better times at Old Trafford
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been told to drop David de Gea and play Dean Henderson following the Spaniard's errors.
The Spaniard should've done better for two of Everton's goals in an entertaining 3-3 draw at Old Trafford.
The draw is a blow to Man United's title bid and Gabby Agbonlahor believes De Gea should be punished by his manager for those mistakes.
However, Agbonlahor warned he can't see Solskjaer ever dropping the keeper.
Agbonlahor said: “How many times have we been saying that with David de Gea?
“Next week he’ll make one good save and we’ll be like ‘all right, it’s forgotten now’.
“For me, Henderson has to start. David de Gea has made that many mistakes for Manchester United, he’s got to come and clear that cross and for the first Everton goal he’s got to do better there, he can’t be parrying it straight into the path of the attacker.
“For me, he’s got to be dropped. But I don’t just seen Ole as the sort of manager that’s going to drop him though. No matter what he does, he’s playing.”
